Commies purge. Its just what they do. They can't handle criticism or dissent. They only thing that stops them is violence greater than they can muster. That's why they want you disarmed.

despots and tyrants purge.

those folks hold power in "democracies" and republics too, they just self-identify as democrats or republicans like in the US, or other parties in different countries. they rarely out themselves as plutocratic dictator wanna-be's (trump was an exception as he freely admitted he'd prefer to be king to president.)

Michael, it's all so shocking but we must be resolved to fight on. Thank you so much for your resolve in this huge orchestrated fight by these war criminals globalists. The corruption is MASSIVE. But good MUST prevail. 🔥🙏

The video that you shared is really instructive. People did flee countries to find refuge from fascism.

Is there a more obvious manifestation of the Deep State Fascism than Twitter purges?

Must say I'm getting a little impatient with this childish response, by everyone on the side of truth and accuracy, of "it's not fair!"

No, it's not, and it hasn't been for two years, and if the best this side has is outraged appeals to Twitter, man do we deserve to fail.

What course of action would you suggest and what concrete steps are you taking? Not meant to be provocative: my question is genuine. What *do* we do?

Look up "samizdat" and get back to me on how we can update it for the cyberspace age.

Expand full comment

As a refugee from Communist Czechoslovakia I'm well familiar with the samizdat concept. No need to look it up. Not being an expert on anything "cyber" I have no idea on how to update it. But I do write for Substack and elsewhere

So why were you asking?

Expand full comment

To see if you - or anyone - does more than write and grumble. What are we doing? Manning the barricades? Founding a protest movement? Financing candidates? Canvassing? Because I'm not doing any of that.

My comments on this subject on many Substacks within this community of shared concern lay out clearly what I think would make a useful start.

PS: Where are we conversing right now?

Elon warned twit employees today they need to increase real users by 1 billion or expect big layoffs. Hopefully he'll lay off the censors first.

SpaceX employees warned Elon today he's being too mean to twits. I expect he'll have meaningful advice for them, too.

The mob will settle down when confronted with serious authority.

Not to get too religious here, but a few Christian guys with a couple of scrolls and knowledge changed the whole world without the internet, printing presses, cars, planes or any modern technology. We must not despair when we lose convenient ways to communicate. We just have to remember that our voices have power and we need to use those voices to talk to one another and change minds by building relationships with people around us. It works. It's just not convenient. I believe we'll see a resurgence of the old ways of sharing our voices in the coming years. And, in a lot of ways, that will be a good thing.

Well, if there's a silver lining, I'm have never signed up on Twitter, nor FB/Meta, et. al. (and I'm no luddite, having used the internet since the early pre-web era) yet I still discovered you and your work along with many others. And now thanks to you I've discovered Alex and Tablet magazine. One door closes, another opens. I'd apply the same metaphor to the growing dichotomy between BigTech and AltTech. IMO, it's probably a good thing that market bifurcation is occurring as a result of these forces as it makes more broader, total censorship all the more difficult

I have no sympathy for any content provider who got pooped on by the bird considering that there were/are viable alternatives like Substack, Gab, GETTR, MeWe, Minds and Telegram. By being on the bird, they only aided and abetted the bird by their conduct. They did not walk their talk!

You've heard already. Apparently she's been reinstated. Hope you and the others will be?
