Without a doubt, regardless of your opinion of Elon, Twitter has been a LOT more fun since he took over! All the left-wing celebs blubbering over the democratization… don’t let the door hit your a$$ on the way out! In fact, giddy up! You might get out in time before Elon reveals that the vast majority of your followers are bots!😁

The progressive oligarchy and its Praetorian Guard of supposed journalists, professors and celebrities is impervious to criticism, to evidence, to reality. They have one single sacred foundational belief that lies at the root of all their thoughts and actions: they are the Good People, smarter and wiser than the rest of us, they went to the right schools, read the right books and use all the proper PC terminology, they "care about the planet" and the "marginalized" etc and this entitles them to unimpeded rule and all the benefits that should accrue to a caste of nobles.

The progressive oligarchy want to hoard all the money, power, status and virtue for themselves and not even being caught stating obvious lies or the catastrophic results of any of their hysterical tantrums (Covid, Floyd, Covington, Kavanaugh, Jussie, Rittenhouse, 1/6, etc etc) can dent their bulletproof sanctimony. They just shrug off their trail of wreckage like a drunk shrugs off last night's bender.

They loathe and look down upon the unwashed masses as much as any member of the Ancien Regime ever did. And they absolutely deserve a similar fate.

He's not charging for 'free speech' you idiots.

Jesus, how dense are these nutcases?

But they care sooooo much for free speech they applauded or remained silenced as hundreds of people - including colleagues - were permanently banned. All for the crime of having a different opinion.

They couldn't care less about freedom of speech. Or freedom for that matter.

As for Sykes, nope. It's our hysterical reaction leading to lockdowns that killed the economy. You could have kept things open and the virus would not have devastated it. Just look at Scandinavia which stayed pretty much open. Did their economies collapse? Particularly Sweden.

Fuck celebrities, we’re better off without them, the culture of celebrity is not a positive for society

I can only hope that all of these celebs are on their 5th booster. Regardless, if they live long enough to wake up, there will be no amnesty.

Agreed, they definitely could have put their platforms to much better use during the last 3 years. And on a humorous note, is this going to be a replay of 2016 when a bunch of celebritards said they would leave USA if Trump was elected? The more followers they have on Twitter, the more tempted they will be to stay on the platform and sit on those vanity metrics. Despite their complaints, I don't think they're going anywhere... and they might even shell out the $8 with their tail between their legs!

I was de-platformed from Twatter in December of 2020 along with a bevy of good people. We have been chased from pillar to post and banned from Facebook and Discord too.

Now my old followers are asking me to return to the Twitsphere simply because Lone Skum (anagram of you know who!) has shelled out a few smackeroos to pretend to be Lord Bountiful for the oppressed.

Sorry, but I am not impressed and he would have to pay me to even THINK about coming back to his dirty dive of a platform.... and even then, I would tell him where to stick it.

I am on GETTR and Substack where civilised people hang out. People who do not want to be celebrated with any shade of tacky ticks, but can say whatever they like without fear of being blistered by abuse or listed as subversive or crazy.

$8 a month for a tacky tick is hilarious though.... it will either clear Twitsphere of insufferable celebs or it will make Lone Skum a few bob to spend on his next project..... which could be buying Hollywood or investing in something worthwhile like the Fusion Torch.

That would be a good move for the entire planet!

Don’t you think that these self appointed celebrities, these narcissistic world commentators, come across as a bunch of kindergarten squabbling snot-nosers? Actually strike that, it’s completely unfair to the kindergarten kids. My 5 year old can tell you the names of the 8 planets and the 5 dwarf planets and how many moons each has and he knows more about how the world works and actual science than these addled space cadets!

Not a single celebrity has any grip on reality, much less basic science. AOC thinks the world will end in 12 years (a little less now) because she can’t do basic mathematics. But actually more likely because she is a narcissistic victim junkie who needs a mission to save humanity to remain stable. It used to be that if you needed therapy you went to a professional or a group session but now you take to social media and become a celebrity (well it used to be you went for a few drinks with your mates but maybe these people don’t have any actual mates... just a thought...). It is long past time that the actual adults stepped up and took over management of the world or we are going to end up like the future depicted in the book and movie Time Machine. That was a time of proper writing Mr. Stephen King... Do humanity a favour and be gone like Enron, please. And take AOC and Ruffio and Schwarzenegger and the rest with you.

I despise King and Ruffolo ( who is always meddling in Canadian politics) . Love to see them go.

A veritable cornucopia of former bot-assisted, free-loading, lefty lockdown lovers hissy-fitting spectacularly over having to pay $8 for their shiny new blue tick verification on Twitter, where they will have to stand alone on their celebrity status, competing on an equal footing with the plebs. Thanks for this. A good way to start the day.

Good finds. I can't believe how dumb these celebrities are. Dumb like rocks.

If I were Elon, I'd waive the blue check fee for lockdown supporters, but add a dunce cap to the check icon.

And these ill mannered leeches are supposed to be our ‘elites’?

Really???

Looks like Twitter’s user base needs a purge as much as the employees.

Indeed but that is the cult of celebrity for you. While narcissist will always be narcissists (politicians and big business tycoons too), what I can’t fathom is why people value their opinions, listen and follow them. A thing that is guaranteed to get me to think the opposite is whatever some vacuous twit like Anne Hathaway thinks, especially when it comes to big issues of the day, medicine and science. And worse still are the world’s richest like Gates who believe they are experts on vaccinations, when they are just essentially computer programmers. And then you get to mediocre actual scientists like Fauci and Collins… Well all of them are entitled to their opinions, like everyone else, but when they and others seem to elevate their opinions and seek to eliminate others, especially more qualified, then you know it is about something else. The only antidote to this slide into weak minded celebrity culture and the dystopia it leads to is open minded debate and active disagreement. Sunlight is still the best disinfectant…

PS: I confess I’d love to see a class action against Arnold Schwarzenegger by people who claim they only took the death shots because of his self important video. I am reminded of the slew of Hollywood actors who made similar videos urging the college of electors not to ratify Trump. Like Trump or not how was that not declared an attempted coup? News flash, celebrities are not to be trusted.

I'd be willing to bet that all of these same "blue checkmarks" have also been screaming that "Twitter is a private company and they can do what they want!" all this time as well...
